Suleimaniah International School, a SABIS® PPP school, held a school-wide initiative to raise funds for the families of Peshmergas on January 17, 2016.
Bracelets with “We All Support Peshmerga” and the national flag printed on them were sold at the school. Students, teachers, and staff were happy to support the cause and all proceeds were donated to families of Peshmergas. Moreover, to raise awareness about the cause, the school had the national anthem playing and pictures of Peshmergas hung on the walls.
The fundraiser helped students understand the importance of giving back to their community and helping those in need. The event was a very meaningful initiative that excited students about working to help others. “I am ready to participate in any volunteering event,” a student said.
