The SABIS Student Life Organization®’s (SLO®) Outreach Department at Suleimaniah International School organized an activity titled “International Girls Day” for students in grades 3 - 6 on October 12, 2016.
During lunch break, SLO® prefects distributed pink ribbons they had made earlier, and gave them to all girls at the school. They then talked to students about the rights girls have to equality in their society.
The purpose of this activity was to create awareness about this day and to motivate girls to dream big. “I am so thankful for school that my daughter can be and achieve everything that she wants,” said a parent.
