SULEIMANIAH STUDENTS LEARN ABOUT TRAFFIC LIGHTS

On January 30, 2019, KG 2 and Grade 1 students at Suleimaniah International School, a SABIS® PPP school in Kurdistan, spent a morning with the SLO ® Activity Department learning about road traffic safety and the importance of traffic lights.

The teachers began the lesson by explaining to the children how traffic lights work and why they are so important. The students listened carefully and then played games to demonstrate the different lights, stopping for the red light, preparing for the yellow light, and going on the green light.

The purpose of the activity was to teach the students the importance of traffic lights from an early age. They thoroughly enjoyed the interactive lesson with their friends. “It was a fun lesson and nice to learn something different,” said a student.
