SULEIMANIAH STUDENTS CELEBRATE INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY

On March 8, 2019, students in grades 5 to 7 at Suleimaniah International School, a SABIS® PPP school in Kurdistan, celebrated International Women’s Day.

Organized by The SABIS Student Life Organization® (SLO®) Activities Department in celebration of all the female teachers in the school, students created bundles of flowers for their female teachers and made posters for them as a gift of appreciation. The teachers appreciated the recognition and the kindness showed to them on International Women’s Day.

The goal of the activity was to show respect and love to all the female teachers at Suleimaniah and to highlight the importance of gender equality. “We are really happy that the school teaches our children to learn gender equality from a young age,” said a parent.
