Suleimaniah Students Learn to Fly Kites

On Saturday, November 5, 2016, Grade 2 students at Suleimaniah International School, a SABIS® PPP school in Kurdistan, went to Hawari Shar Park for a day of kite flying.

At the park, the students enjoyed the opportunity to learn about flying kites from the teachers and staff that attended. The students flew their kites for hours trying to see who could get their kite higher up. After playing with the kites, the students enjoyed a small picnic together.

The purpose of this activity was to teach students about a new activity they could enjoy outdoors with their friends. It was a new experience for many of the students and they had a great time. “It was an exciting day,” shared a student. To visit the gallery of the event, please click here
