Suleimaniah KG Students Learn Importance of Eating

The SABIS Student Life Organization®’s (SLO®) Lower School Department at Suleimaniah International School, a SABIS® PPP school in Kurdistan, held an activity to encourage KG 1 and KG 2 students to become better eaters on Thursday, November 17, 2016.

After receiving feedback from parents about their children’s eating habits during breakfast and lunch, the Lower School Department decided to take action. The Student Life Coordinator and Activities Coordinator put on animal costumes during break time to show students that if they ate their food they would be as strong as the animals they were dressed as. Moreover, students who changed their eating habits to the better had the chance to play with the animals.

The purpose of this activity was to get students excited about eating their breakfast and lunch and to explain to them how food can make them strong, energetic, and healthy. “My child finally came home and said that she wanted a healthy sandwich to eat at school so she can play with the bear too!” said a parent.
